"Holy Sprit Breathe On Me"
"God, I am opening the windows of my soul for a refreshing of your Holy Spirit
in me. Holy Spirit let your winds blow and breath on me." ~Pastor Pat Aman
What a beautiful Monday Morning. My prayer is that you had a good weekend. I
hope that you attended church and thanked God for His grace and love.
I love the fall of the year. The weather is starting to get a little cooler, so
I turn the air conditioner off and open the windows and let the house air out. I
do the same thing in the spring time.
You know we need to do that to our lives also. Sometimes we start to get a
little musty in our Christian lives.
We get so used to the routine. Monday through Friday we get up and go to work.
Then we are so busy on Saturdays catching up on things around the house that we
wear ourselves out. Then on Sunday we get up and go to church, come home, eat,
take a nap, and then go back to church. We have gotten into such a routine that
we forget about how much God is blessing us. Maybe each time we air the house
out, we need to air our spiritual houses out.
We need to check and see where we stand in the Lord. We need to make sure that
we are walking the road God wants us to walk.
Maybe you are at that point now in your life. Maybe you feel burned out, tired
of being tired, as the old saying goes. Maybe you need to stop right now and
tell God that you are going to open the windows of your soul for Him to clean
out. Get rid of the cob webs and spiders. Renew you with His joy and love.
Ask yourself these questions. When is the last time that you have led someone to
Christ? When is the last time that you have told someone how much God has
blessed you and changed your life?
(Psalm 51:10-13) says, "Create in me a clean heart, O God. And renew a
steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me away from Your presence. And do not
take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation. And
uphold me by Your generous Spirit. Then I will teach transgressors Your ways.
And sinners shall be converted to You."
David wrote this Psalm to God. Sounds like he needed to open his windows. He was
as they say, tired of being tired. He found out that he could not handle
everything himself. He was so overwhelmed with the pressures of life, that he
needed God to intervene. He needed for his soul to be aired out, cleaned out,
and cleaned up.
How about You?
Father God, Thanks! I am opening the windows of my soul so that the wind of the
Holy Spirit can flow through me and clean me out. I ask you to now to fill me
with your presence and teach me the way I should go. With a clear mind, I now
can hear your voice clearly. Teach me wisdom that I may help others. In Jesus
Name I Pray Amen and Amen.
