South Louisiana Cajun Recipes
Louisiana Yams
2 can yams undrained
¼ cup sugar
Pinch salt
1 teaspoon of baking powder
½ cup of chopped pecans
3 eggs
2 tablespoons butter
1-teaspoon vanilla
½ cup milk
Marshmallows
Heat oven 350 degrees. Blend all ingredients (except pecans and marshmallows, in
large mixing bow.
Beat at medium speed for 5 minutes. Add pecans and pour into 1- ½ quart
casserole. If desired decorate with marshmallows and bake 40 minutes.
