Spiced Iced Tea
The will make 4 servings
5 cups water
2 strips lemon rind
6 whole cloves
1-1/2 inch cinnamon stick
3 allspice berries
3 tablespoons tea leaves
4 cinnamon sticks
4 orange peel spirals, studded with whole cloves.
Combine water, lemon rind, cloves, cinnamon stick, and allspice in a saucepan; bring to a boil. Simmer for 10 minutes. Pour hot mixture over tea leaves; set aside for 5 minutes. Strain into pitcher; refrigerate until cold. Pour tea into 4 glasses filled with crushed ice. Garnish with cinnamon sticks and orange rind spirals.
