"I Will Make Music
With My Soul"
Part 2
(Psalm 29: 1 - 2)
Give unto the Lord, O, you mighty ones. give unto the Lord glory and strength.
Give unto the Lord the glory due to His name; worship the Lord in the beauty of
holiness."
We were in Revival
tonight with Evangelist Jerry McGee. He use to be a hell's angel. One year ago
the doctor told him he had 6 weeks to live. The doctor told him that he had
pancreatic cancer. The minute the doctor said those words to him and his wife,
she jumped up and rebuked it. She told the doctor she would not believe his
report, but God's report, and by the stripes of Jesus Jerry was healed. The
doctor got so upset he left the room.
Jerry and his wife stood on the word of God. The quoted all the healing
scriptures and believed. To make a long story short, when he went to the cancer
doctor they ran tests and they all came back: no more cancer. Praise God he was
healed. And yes, they did Praise Jesus before and after.
Also at the Revival tonight they had very contemporary praise and worship. I
want to let you know that my 91 year old mama was standing up, praising God,
clapping her hands and raising them in the air. If she can do it at her age, why
can't some of you at your younger age?
Tonight I finish up the last part about praising God. Let us talk first about
Thanksgiving.
The psalmists call for constant verbal expression of heartfelt gratitude to God
for all of contemporary benefits and gifts to man.
Give thanks to God, first of all, for who He is.
Give thanks to God for all that He has given you.
Give thanks to God for His lovingkindness and mercy.
Give thanks to God for His protection.
Give thanks to God for His guidance.
Give thanks to God for His mighty act.
Give thanks to God than His purposes will prevail.
|
Then we must
Proclaim God's goodness. As one of their major themes, the psalmists call God's
people to declare, openly, His goodness, lovingkindness, and mercy
to them and to the nations.
Proclaim God's love, mercy, and
forgiveness to all of Israel.
Proclaim God's truth and justice in all the nations.
Proclaim His righteousness.
Proclaim His mighty acts.
Proclaim His salvation, day after day.
|
In other words
we need to Praise God daily for all that He has done and will continue to do for
us.
So, I ask you the question, what is stopping you from Praising God?
Blessing, Love, and
Prayers,
