"Stop Playing Church;
Get Busy"
"As Christians, we need to stop warming the pew. We need to start warming the hearts of the unsaved, by telling them of Jesus." Pastor Pat Aman It is time the church folks come to realized that the church is about God's business, and does not have time to mess around with people who cannot control their tongues. That there are to many lost souls, and a Christian should not be acting like a sinner, but a shining light for Jesus. I feel that can agree. It is time the church did God's Work and not their own "I" ministry. There are to many church boards and congregations doing their own thing. There are to many Pastor's preaching sugar coated sermons just to keep their job. And they will be held accountable one day, when they stand before God. It is time for restoration of the Church. The Church Jesus told His disciple about, the church that is about doing God's business. Restoration is talking about the church as a whole Restoration means more than becoming a reproduction of the New Testament church. It means becoming all God originally intended the church to be. It means to restore to something better than the first. First, restoration means that the church will display the kind of love Jesus demonstrated during His ministry on Earth. By this love, He said, all men would know His disciples. In some churches today if a visitor showed up, he would not know if he was in a church, or a fighting ring. In the restoration of the church we need to let God's power without measure be release through the whole church. That release will come through His people as the gifts of the Spirit operate without restraint or restriction under the direction of the Holy Spirit, and in the holy spirit of God's love. Some churches are asking the Holy Spirit to come into their mist and wonder why He has not. Why would the Holy Spirit want to come into a war zone, or a church just playing church, just doing the same thing over and over. You know the "First Church Of The Frozen Chosen." Through the full operation of the gifts and ministries that God appoints, and operating in the love essential to His own nature, the church will reach a level of maturity and unity that can be measured only in terms of "the stature of the fullness of Christ." (Ephesians 4:13) "until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ." As the church become a spiritual house, (Ephesians 2:20) "built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone" inhabited by a holy priesthood, offering up its self as acceptable to God through Jesus Christ, (I Peter 2:5) "you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ." all men will be drawn to Him; the world will at last see the glory of God through this restored church. God is willing and ready to being restoration through the work of the Holy Spirit in and through the lives of those who have believed in Jesus and have been born from above. (Joel 2:28- 29) "And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days." (Acts 2: 17-21) " 'In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy. I will show wonders in the heaven above and signs on the earth below, blood and fire and billows of smoke. The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord. And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." I know right now a church that will not let a woman pray are preach. I attended it a couple of Sunday's ago. But they are asking God to send the Holy Spirit to do His work. They need to read these verses. "Both men and women. Both Sons and Daughters. Come on now let's stop being so wishy washy and get down to doing God's business. Jesus told His disciples that they would be empowered to witness of Him and their witness will spread the Good News throughout the world. Today by the Holy Spirit, God continues and perfects the work He began in us at salvation. So let us get busy. Stop warming the pew. Ask God what you can do for Him today.
