"Did I Remember To Say Thank You!"
Coffee With Pat "Happy Mother's Day" Proverbs 31: 10-28 "A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life. She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands. She is like the merchant ships, bringing her food from afar. She gets up while it is still dark; she provides food for her family and portions for her servant girls. She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard. She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks. She sees that her trading is profitable, and her lamp does not go out at night. In her hand she holds the distaff and grasps the spindle with her fingers. She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy. When it snows, she has no fear for her household; for all of them are clothed in scarlet. She makes coverings for her bed; she is clothed in fine linen and purple. Her husband is respected at the city gate, where he takes his seat among the elders of the land. She makes linen garments and sells them, and supplies the merchants with sashes. She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her." "Did I Remember To Say Thank You?" Written By: Pat Aman May 10, 2006 Copyright All Rights Reserved Now, As I look back over my life I find myself meditating and wondering... Did I remember to thank you for all the special things that you have done for me? For all of the times you never left me, and were by my side to help me celebrate my so many successes and even accept my many defeats? I wonder if I've ever thanked you for the many simple things... The looks of love, smiles, laughter, and quiet times we've shared? Or for taking the time in teaching me the value of good judgment, hard work, courage, and most important honesty? Did I take the time to say thank you, for all those cookies and cakes, you baked for a school party. And for being a classroom chaperon for dances, trips and things. I even think back and wonder, did I say thank you for sitting hours, at that old Kemore sewing machine, Every stitch was made with love, just to make sure, I had just the right dress to wear, for all those special occasions, like Easter, School Pictures and the Prom. And did I remember to say thank you, most of all, for sharing the story of Jesus with me. For because of you knowing Jesus as your personal Savior and Friend, I now have Him in my life, for my children to see, Mom, if I have forgotten to express my gratitude For any of these things, I am thanking you now... and I am hoping that you've known all along, how very much you are loved, respected, and appreciated. And thank you for giving your life for me. "Even if you did forget to say thank you, she knew you meant too." Pastor Pat Aman
