"Did Your Miracle Pass You By?"
Tommy Barnett wrote in the book Spirit-Led Reader a section on being Spirit filled. He mentioned that sometimes when people tell him that they have been filled with the Spirit, he wants to ask them have they leaked a little. He makes a statement "The More You're Spilled the More You're Filled. "WOW! In other words the more you give of yourself and you are emptied the more God can fill you back, more than you had in the beginning. A lot of people wait to go to church on Sunday to be blessed. Yes, you need to get blessed in church, but it is more important that you become a blessing and become someone else's miracle. You will find out the more you bless others the more that you will be blessed. You can not out give God. (Luke 6:38) says, "Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again." This scripture is just not talking about giving of money, but of yourself, time and abilities. We cannot out give God. And when we empty ourselves totally for God, He will fill us more with His power, Spirit, blessings and abundant love. God expects us to receive a harvest from our giving. He wants us to expect a Miracle return. Jesus opened up a whole new way of giving. He gave Himself totally to and for the needs of the people. We can no longer pay or sacrifice our way into God's mercy. Jesus Christ has paid our debt before God, and His Cross is a completed work in our eternal interest. Our giving, then , is no longer a debt that we owe, but a seed that we sow! The life and power source is from Him. Ours is simply to act on the power potential in that seed life. He has placed in us by His power and grace! Notice that when Jesus said "Give," He also said, "and it will be given to you." Giving and receiving belong together. Only when we give are we in a position to expect to reach out and receive a harvest. And Jesus said the harvest will be "good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over." We give as to God, and we receive as from God; but we should remain sensitive at all times to the different ways in which God may deliver our harvest. I have often heard, "A miracle is either coming toward you or going past you all the time. Reach out and take it! Do not let it pass by! God's miracle for you may be coming as an idea, an opportunity, an invitation, or a previously unknown or unidentified association. Watch expectantly for the ways in which God may choose to deliver your miracle to you in His "due season" (which, for you, may be today). Father God, I want to empty myself to others for you. So that I may be filled with more power for you and your Glory. In Jesus Name I Pray Amen and Amen Joyfully, In The Master's
