Psalm 19: 7-11 KJV, "The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever; the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.  More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.  Moreover by them is they servant warned;  and in keeping of them there is great reward."

2 Peter 1:3-4, NLT, As we know Jesus better, His divine power gives us everything we need for living a godly life.

He has called us to receive His own glory and goodness!  And by that same mighty power, he has given us all of His rich and wonderful promises.  He has promised that you will escape the decadence all around you caused by evil desires and that you will share in His divine nature."
