"Do You Have Power Over Demons"
The Bible says, "He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world." I John 4:4. The Christian believer, by having the Holy Spirit within him, has power over all demons. When Jesus Christ sent His apostles out on their mission, He said He was giving them authority over all the power of the enemy. Luke 10:19, 19. Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you." Jesus' authority is greater than satanic power. When the disciples said, "Lord even the demons are subject to us in Your name," Jesus replied, "Do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in Heaven." Luke 10:17,20, 17. Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.” 18. And He said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. 19. Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. . 20 Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.” The Christian believer has unlimited authority over demons in the name of Jesus, but that authority is nothing compared to the glory and authority we will know in Heaven.** "Pat's Opinion" John 14:12 12. “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. 13. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it. 15. “If you love Me, keep My commandments. 16. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— 17. the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. 18. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you. 21. He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.” John 15, 7, 7. If you abide in Me, and my Words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. 8. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples." Did you understand? He said greater works shall we do, than He had done, so that His Father in Heaven would be glorified. What did He do? Raise the dead. Heal the sick. Made the blind eyes to see. Cast out demons. Turn water into wine and much more. Okay, I can hear you now, He was telling His disciples to do those things, not us. If you are a born again Christian, you are a disciple. What did Matthew 28:19-20 say in last nights devotion? 19. "God therefore and make DISCIPLES of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. 20. Teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." When Jesus died, He went to the pits of hell and took back the keys of death and hell, from satan. Then He gave them to us, to use to do His work. Matthew 16:18-19. 18. And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. 19. And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” We know here that Peter is just a representative of the church. The church is us. The Rock is Jesus. Jesus is giving us His Power Of Attorney, to do His work, while we are here on earth. The work He would have done, if He had stay here. Demons were afraid of Jesus, and they are afraid of us, when they know that we have Jesus in our hearts and exercise our authority over them. I do want to say, you better know where you stand in the Lord. If you know where you stand and are covered with the blood of Jesus, then you can do anything. I was on a Deliverance Team for a few years. I have seen people who do not know what they are doing really mess up. I believe that you do not have to fight with demons, if you are living the life Jesus wants you to live. All you have to do is walk into the room and say, "In Jesus Name Come Out" and the demon has to flee. Remember that's what Jesus did, and the demons left immediately. Yes, you have authority on the demons. They should have no power over you. This is a powerful subject, so please get your study Bible down, and search your scriptures. God will show you mighty things. Joyfully, In The Master's
Service
