"Churches Need To Pray Not Play"
Coffee With Pat "Instead of playing churches, the churches better be praying churches, and get to doing the work God has for them to do." Pastor Pat Aman I cannot get over churches today, who are wanting to do their own thing. The deacons want to run the church. They want a Pastor who will jump at their every call, but not preach the word. You know just give those sugar coated sermons. For some reason as I was studying the scripture below, God bought into my spirit that this is what the churches were doing to their Pastors. "I thought about it and said to myself, "through the ages God sent prophet, and Pastors to lead His people. (To tend the vineyard) But they were not accepted and they were sent away or killed. Then God decided to send His own beloved son, and still they would not even accept Him, and they killed His son Jesus. So He destroyed the vinedressers (church), and gave the vineyard to others who were willing to do the work (His Disciples) . He did not destroy the prophet or pastor, but the church. " WOW! God lets churches be planted to do His work. He sends good men and woman of God to teach, preach and lead. To take care of the vineyard (church). There are so many churches out there who are not doing what God has called them to do. So what must He do? He will destroy those churches who are playing church and give the work to a church that is doing the Great Commission. Remember the devotion I did a good while back on Peter. Jesus told him to cast his nets out, but Peter had already washed all the other nets, and they were up on the shore drying out, and he had only one old one in the boat and it had a hole in it. Then when Jesus started to fill the net up with fish (lost souls) the net started to break, because Peter (The Church) was not ready to do the work that God wanted him to do. So he had to call the other boats (churches) in the area to come and help collect the fish. (The Lost Souls). That is just what I am talking about. If a church is just playing church and doing their own thing, when God does sent lost souls for them to tell of Jesus' salvation for their souls and help teach them the Word of God, they will not be ready. If they are not ready then God will have to let the church down the road who is doing His work, take in the lost and wounded and the lazy church will just be as God said, "destroyed." What a shame! Matthew 28: 18-20 18.Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20. and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." See we are just tenants in the church. The church belongs to God. God is letting us live in His kingdoms work (vineyard) until He comes again. He wants us to lead others to Christ. To full fill His Great Commission. If we do not do this, we can loose our lease, and be kicked out. He said "(destroyed)." Mark 12: 1-12 The Parable of the Tenants 1. He then began to speak to them in parables: "A man planted a vineyard. He put a wall around it, dug a pit for the winepress and built a watchtower. Then he rented the vineyard to some farmers and went away on a journey. 2. At harvest time he sent a servant to the tenants to collect from them some of the fruit of the vineyard. 3. But they seized him, beat him and sent him away empty-handed. 4. Then he sent another servant to them; they struck this man on the head and treated him shamefully. 5. He sent still another, and that one they killed. He sent many others; some of them they beat, others they killed. 6. "He had one left to send, a son, whom he loved. He sent him last of all, saying, 'They will respect my son.' 7. "But the tenants said to one another, 'This is the heir. Come, let's kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.' 8. So they took him and killed him, and threw him out of the vineyard. 9. "What then will the owner of the vineyard do? He will come and kill those tenants and give the vineyard to others. 10. Haven't you read this scripture: " 'The stone the builders rejected has become the capstone; 11. the Lord has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes'?" 12. Then they looked for a way to arrest him because they knew he had spoken the parable against them. But they were afraid of the crowd; so they left him and went away.
