"Happy Father's Day"
Coffee With Pat "Happy Father's Day" What a beautiful day in the Lord. I would like to say, I pray that you have a wonderful day and that you will be blessed. "For this is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it."(Psalm 118:24) The first poem in today's devotion is in Memory of all of our Father's who have left this earthly world, for God's beautiful shores. The second poem is in honor to all the Father's that we are so bless to still have them with us. "The Day God Called You Home" God looked around His garden, And He found an empty place. He then looked down upon the earth, And saw your tired and weary face. He put His arms around you, And lifted you to rest. God’s garden must be beautiful, He always takes the best. He knew you were suffering. He knew you were in pain. He knew that you would never Be well on earth again. He saw the road was getting rough And the hills were hard to climb. Then He closed your weary eyelids So you could rest in peace divine. It broke our hearts to lose you. But you did not go alone. For part of us went with you, The day that God called you home. But if you look inside Dad's heart, where no one else can see, You'll find he's sentimental and soft as he can be. Fathers are just wonderful in a million different ways, And they merit loving compliments and accolades of praise, For the only reason Dad aspires to fortune and success Is to make the family proud of him and bring them happiness, And like our heavenly Father, he's a guardian and a guide, Someone we can count on to be always on our side.
