Devotion 14
"Ask Jesus Into Your Heart"
Coffee With Pat Today, let us look at a couple of verses in Ezekiel. I know that a lot of ministers are preaching just on the Love of Jesus Christ. Yes, I love to preach and I do preach on the total love that Jesus' has for us. God the Father, does love His children, but He also wants us to know that we must be transformed. We must ask Jesus to come into our hearts and forgive us of our sins. When we do this, God is a just God, and He not only forgives, but He forgets. He will never remember our sins anymore. Yes, I will continue to preach the Love of Jesus, but I will preach even harder that Jesus came to earth and died for their sins, so they can have eternal life. There is a world of lost souls who are dying and going to hell. I will not let one of them go to hell. I will continue telling the world of Jesus love and saving grace. But I will also tell them, if they do not except that love and salvation that they will die, and be bound to hell. It is time for us to stop sugar coating the message and get down to leading lost souls to Jesus Christ. Yes, Jesus does love His children, that is why He died for them. That is the true love story. (Ezekiel 36: 26-27) 26. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. 27. And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. Godliness is not inherited. Each individual must seek out God and establish a personal relationship with Him. Godliness comes by divine transformation of our hardened or rebellious hearts, not by self-effort. Be assured, that you will not be saved by another's righteousness or be judges for another's sin. Understand that God will bring about true transformation among His people by renewing their minds, and hearts, and filling them with His Spirit. Welcome the exchange of heart and spirit God offers to you. Yield to God's Spirit and receive His law of life in your heart to be truly transformed. (John 3: 16-17) "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. For God sent not His son into the world to condemn the world, but the world through Him might be saved." A personal relationship with Jesus Christ is the only way back to God. Forgiveness, or salvation, cannot be earned; rather, it is a gift offered to everyone to bridge that separation from God. We must ask God to forgive our sins, and we must choose to turn to God's way. Do not fear that you've done something so terrible that God won't forgive you. The Bible says, " If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.: "(1 John 1:9). Our sins can't be bigger than God's faithfulness. So there is nothing you have done that God will not forgive. Please read the scriptures below. If you have not asked Jesus to be your personal Savior, please do it now. He is waiting with open arms. After you read the scriptures, there is a Prayer of Salvation you can pray, at the bottom of the page. Romans 1:16, "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek." Roman Road Plan of Salvation Romans 2:12, "For as many as have sinned without law will also perish without law, and as many as have sinned in the law will be judge by the law." Romans 3:23, "For all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God." Romans 6:23, "For the wages of sin in death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 10: 8-13, 17, "But what does the scriptures say?' The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart" (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, "Whosoever believes in Him will not be put to shame." For there is no distinction between the Jew and the Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For whosoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved." St. John 3: 16-17, " For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved." II Corinthians 5: 17, "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away, behold all things have become anew." II Corinthians 7:1, "Therefore having these promises beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in fear of God." If you have read the scriptures and you would like to ask Jesus to come into your heart, pray this prayer aloud with me. Father God, I love you. The scriptures say with the heart I believe and with my mouth confession is made. Now, I repent of my sins and ask you to forgive me. Come into my heart right now and save me. I believe that you sent your Son Jesus, who died on the cross for me. His blood was shed for me, that I will now spend eternal life with you in Heaven. I believe that in three days Jesus arose from the dead to give me victory over my sins. I believe now that I am a new person, and all the things I did in the past is gone, to be remember no more. I thank you now for writing my name in the Lamb's Book of Life. I thank you for saving my soul from the pits of hell. Now mold me into what you want me to be. In Jesus Name I Pray Amen and Amen If you prayed this prayer, you are now a child of God. Hold fast to your Heavenly Father. Read your Bible everyday and pray. If you do not have a Bible and cannot afford to get one, just reply to this devotion sending me your address and I will send you a Bible.
