Devotion 25
I feel that these are the last days, when we soon shall Jesus in the sky, calling His children Home.Because of this soon and coming day, the work is vast. There are so many who are dying and going to hell, because we have not stop warming a pew long enough to do His work.God requires of us as HIs disciples to finish the work that Jesus, His Son, left for us to do.He told His disciples to...
Matthew 28: 18 - 19
18. Then
Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been
given to me. 19. Therefore go and
make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of
the Son and of the Holy Spirit,...
My dear friends I want you to remember
that the minute you ask Jesus into your heart, you became one of His
disciples. You now have a responsibility.
You may say, "but I cannot go into all
the world." Well, you can start within your own community, and more important
in your own church. Are you just keeping a pew warm, or can you say, I am
about my Father's business, sharing the good news?
It is time as Christians that we tell
the world about the mercy and saving grace of Jesus. You know, the same mercy
and grace that Jesus showed you.
Mark 16:1515. He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.
God has been stirring His people. His
people today have Him give the charge: "Go Ye"
Such an assignment seems impossible to
achieve, and so it is with men. But with God it is possible, and so the task
and calling remain before us, confronting us all. Each person and church must
respond.
When Jesus gave the disciples His
assignment to go into all the world and make disciples of all nations. He
added this promise:
Matthew 28:2020. and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
God's call is not a program, but a Person to follow, a Person who
has given His personal command to be obeyed. And as we obey, He will then
accomplish His purposes through us and give every person in our world an
opportunity to hear the gospel.
Now, you must decide, yes, it is your decision. Will you follow the
Great Commission and do as God has commanded you to do? "Go Ye"
When you make that decision to walk through the open door God has
for you to do His work, then my pray is:
May God grant that you shall...
hear Him...
believe Him...
adjust your life to Him...
obey Him...
and fully experience Him in your everyday walk with Him........
Love, Blessings, and Prayers, Pastor Pat
