Devotion 14
I want to thank each of you for your prayers as Joe and I have been traveling.

Tonight we have a sad heart, even though we know that we must rejoice in the Home Going of the Pastor of Evangel IPHC in Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina.

Today Pastor Vince Moore listen to the voice of God, as He said, "Come Home My Son."

We met Pastor Vince and Mrs. Susie Moore a little over a year ago.  They became not only our Pastor and Wife, but our friends.  We will miss him greatly, but yet we one day,  will be reunited again, in our home in the sky.  For we do know that we are just visitor's here on this earth, and Heaven is our home.

Pastor Vince is the Pastor who told me that I needed to plant a church in the area where I lived.  God had been talking to Joe and I a while about taking this step of faith.  Pastor Vince helped us make the decision.  He was a man of wisdom and knowledge.

Pastor Vince led hundreds to Christ, through his own testimony of the loving grace and saving mercy of Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savior.

I have included the information about Pastor Vince's Services below.

The funeral will be held Monday, July 16th at 11:00 am at the Wilmington First Church. In Wilmington, North Carolina. The church is located at 29th and Chestnut in Wilmington.

In Loving Memory of

Pastor Vince Moore

The Day God Called You Home

                             God looked around His garden,

And He found an empty place.

He then looked down upon the earth,

And saw your tired and weary face.

He put His arms around you,

And lifted you to rest.

God’s garden must be beautiful,

He always takes the best.

He knew you were suffering.

He knew you were in pain.

He knew that you would never

Be well on earth again.

He saw the road was getting rough

And the hills were hard to climb.

Then He closed your weary eyelids

So you could rest in peace divine.

It broke our hearts to lose you.

But you did not go alone.

For part of us went with you,

The day that God called you home.

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

The Coming of the Lord
13Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope.

14We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.

15According to the Lord's own word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep.

16For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.

17After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.

18Therefore encourage each other with these words.
