"Relationship with God"

Oh shucks, in last nights devotion, I put all rights preserved. Well, I know I am losing it now.   Anyway, I am looking forward to each new day in this new year.  I want something to laugh about each and every day.  Laughter is good for the soul.
Also, having a real personal relationship with God is good for the soul.

I was reading Psalm 139: 1-6, which says, "O Lord, You have searched me and known me. You know my sitting down and my rising up. You understand my thoughts afar off. You comprehend my path and my lying down. And are acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word on my tongue. But behold, O Lord, You know it altogether. You have hedged me behind and before. (Praise God) And laid Your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me." Amen and Amen
You know, God wants us to take Him, at His Word and to take His Word at it's face value. The personal relationship that we have with God, is through no other source but His Spirit and His Word. We must receive and believe God's Word in the Bible to benefit from them.

When I think  about the above scripture, just to realize, that He is with me at all times.  There is no where I can go, that He is not there.  God goes before me, to protect and bless me. This is knowledge that is to wonderful for me to comprehend.
BUT if I daily do not have a personal relationship with Him, He can do nothing.

Daily we need to start our morning with Him. Then pray during the day, and let God be our last thoughts at night.
I heard a statement made a few weeks ago, "that God will not let us fall any further than our knees."

My, My, My, He loves and cares for me enough to not even let me fall all the way down.  Just to my knees, so He can pick me up.  What a wonderful personal relationship He wants with me.

He wants that personal, intimate relationship with all of His children.

I know that I do with my own.  I love my girls, and I am so proud of them.  And it is hard to let them go and let them grow up.  But that is just the mama in me.

Sometimes God Himself has to let us go, so we can grow up. He really never leaves us.  He just lets us make our own decisions. It is call our free will.   Sometimes He lets His children take a different path, so we will run back into His arms, and say Abba Father.

Today, maybe you need to run back to God, and say, I back, and thank you for not letting me make a mess of things.
I guarantee that He will just pick you up and hold you in His arms and say, Welcome Home My Child.

Blessings, Prayers, and Love,
Pat Aman
