Good Morning, I want you to think about the words of "The Lord's Prayer." It is recited in churches every Sunday, but how many people really know what they are saying. Let's look at this prayer and see what it really means in our lives.

(Luke 11: 1-2) " And it came to pass that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples. And he said unto them, When ye pray, say.....

I think the one that really I had to deal with was forgiveness. See, I not only had someone do me wrong, and cause me hurt, so bad that I thought I could hardly go on. I even lay in Bed for over 2 years, after 7 surgeries, and two surgical infections,  and it seemed that no one cared about me, even people who had called me their friend. No one knock on my door to see if I needed help, but during this time, I grew stronger in the Lord and His Word. And yes, with God's help even this servant of God was able to forgive. See,  as long as I had unforgiveness those persons that meant they had power over me. But when I was able to let God do His thing in my life and help me to forgive those whom I once thought was my friends, I soon learned that God had new friends for me. Praise God! So, if someone or even a church or people have let you down, do not judge them. When you are judging them, you are doing the same thing that they did towards you, when they held their judgement or guilt over you. God is the only judge. You just love and forgive, and God will take care of what He needs to do in the lives of others.

So, if your friends ran from you when you needed help, I have to asked you a question, were they really your true friends in the first place. Listen you must move on, and let God take care of the rest. Remember, He has many new, true and exciting friends in your future, and He will restore even old friends who may not have understood your circumstances. See, they may have heard just the gossip, and did not realize that you were in the wrong place at the wrong time, or maybe you were accused wrongly.

Do not worry for God will also show them the truth, and if they were truly ones who cared about you, they will come back.  If not just let them go, and remember to pray for God to Bless them.

 

Jesus even told His Disciples, if you are not accepted, just wipe the dust from your feet and move on.

 

Again, sometimes you must let go of the passed so God can take you into your future.

 

Listen even Jesus himself had His name slurred. He was talked about. He was accused of things He did not do. He even took the blame for our sins. So, if He went through all of that, do we think we will not have to go through.

 

In reading God's Word we see over and over again how servants of God went through hell on earth. They lost their friends. When they needed help, no one was around.  Look at Job, his friends accused him of wrong doing. But look at the ending of the Book of Job, if Job had not prayed and forgiven those friends, God would have destroyed them. Why, He loved His servant Job, and He did not like people doing Job wrong. And friends if you are God's child He loves you and will not take it when people do you wrong.

 

Friends, pray for those who hurt you, forgive them, release them to God, and see a Miracle take place in your life.

God cannot lead you into a new future, until you let go of the passed.
