Devotion February 26
"Restored and Redeemed"
I am telling you already that this is a long devotion. It also ended up not exactly what I was going to write about. But God is in control. He is high and lifted up. And I praise Him for the word. Please take the time to read it. I feel God has a message for someone. I know He did for me. Don't miss your blessing. (Luke 4: 18-21)says, "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he has sent me to heal the broken hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recover of sight to the blind. To set at liberty them that are bruised." (Isaiah 61) says,"The spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because has anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he has sent me to bind up the broken hearted. To proclaim liberty to the captives and to open the prison doors to set the captive free." Jesus has redeemed us from the curse of the law, so the blessing of Abraham can come upon us. So we are blessed. Yes, even you. You may say, "I don't look blessed. I don't feel blessed, and I don't live blessed. Well just hold on, because today's devotion is going to teach you what the Bible says about the matter. Listen, as children of God you are blessed when you come in, and you are blessed when you go out. You are the head and not the tail. Everything you put your hands to is blessed, it is to always prosper. And you can go ahead and say, "she is going to teach that prosperity gospel." No, I am just going to teach the Gospel of Christ. Jesus' blood was shed for you and me. He went into the pits of hell; and was raised from the dead. He broke the chains of darkness, so it would break the limitations of this world. WOW! Praise God. (Luke 4) says, "The Spirit of God has anointed me to preach good news. He anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor." Well, I want to tell you now how to not be poor anymore in all areas of your life. I want to show you how to break that curse of poverty over your family. And I am not just talking about money here. It goes on to say, "The spirit of God has anointed me to preach the word of God and tell you that He has come to bring healing to the broken hearted." If your heart has been crushed. If you are abused by life. (The Greek Word crushed means to utterly and thoroughly be broken and shattered to pieces). If you are reading this devotion today, and honey you have been crushed, I can tell you that you are right where you belong. God brought you to this devotion. He wants to heal you. The Holy Spirit has anointed me today to share the good news with you. And Jesus is in our midst, right now as you read this devotion. He is ready to heal and set you free from all bondage, whatever it may be. You may be saying, "Pastor Pat, you just don't know my circumstances, you just don't know my problem." Let me tell you now, stop meditating on the problem. If Satan can keep you looking at the problem, he can make you magnify it, and keep lifting up the problem. But I am telling you right now, God does not tell us to lift up our problem. He tells us to lift Him up in praise and honor and He will take care of the situation. When Satan attacks you, just give God Praise. When Satan tries to destroy you, just give God Praise. As you continue to praise God, you will soon realize that you have been delivered from the problem. God tells us that we are never alone. We may walk through the fire, but we will not be burned. We may be walking through the flood, but we will not drown. Jesus says, "The Spirit of God not only anointed me to bring healing but deliverance to the captives." (The word preach in Greek is curruso) There was an opera singer named Caruso. His name came from the Greek word that means to preach. It simply means to proclaim; to stand up and say it with a loud voice. So today, God has anointed me to proclaim, to stand up, and say it with a loud voice and tell you that "YOU ARE BLESSED. YOU ARE MADE WHOLE AND YOU ARE DELIVERED." Right now as you read this devotion, in which I now realized that it is a sermon to be preached, say out loud, right now, "I am whole. I am delivered. I am blessed." God tells us to start singing our deliverance. Don't sing and speak bondage and proclaim negatively. Say, "By the blood of Jesus Christ, I am free, and blessed indeed." Listen, I am not throwing out to you some junk that I do not believe. Yes, I am human. I am flesh and blood. I have problems. Joe and I sometimes disagree. Tara and Anna are not prefect children. I have money problems sometimes. Not enough money to do what I want to do. The bills come and there is not enough to pay them sometimes. I have the same flesh and blood as you do. I have problems and cares just as you do. But I have learned that when they begin to weigh me down, when they begin to break my spirit and take my joy, I just chase them to the side and look up. Yes, look up, because my redemption draws near. God says, "I have come to preach deliverance to the captives, the prisoners, those that are beaten up and in jail." Listen again, I have good news for you today as you read this devotion. If you are in prison. I don't care if it is dirty movies, alcohol, smoking, lustfulness, cursing, drugs, fear, bad health, broken spirit, worry, strife or condemnation. If it is the Prison of the past; Prison of the negative. The strong hold on your mind. I have come today to tell you that your deliverance is here. The door has been open, and Jesus Christ is alive. He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. The chains have been broken. But you have to take a stand right now . Don't look through those prison bars any longer. Look up to Jesus and say, "I'm free, in the name of Jesus." Listen now, all it takes is faith. Not good intentions, not good motives, just faith. Faith that calls those things that be not so as they were. Faith that looks in the eye of the storm and says, "This, too, shall pass." But my word will always last. Faith that dares to believe God has a better way for you right now. God says, "I have come to announce the Caruso. The deliverance to the captive. I come to bring recovering of the sight or to preach recovering of sight to the blind. The word recovering sight in the Greek broken down, simply means to look up. So many people are walking around thinking they are blind. They think that they are cut off. Well, they are not blind, they are just looking down. All they are looking at is the problem. All they are looking at is the world. It is a sad situation. But see, God says, "Stop and Look Up." A blind man came to him and said, "Lord, if you will you can make me whole." Jesus spit on the ground and made mud, and put it in the man's eyes and said, "Tell Me What You See" Now I know that sounds ridiculous, for him to say that. I mean the man was blind, but Jesus said, "What Do You See." But the way that you get out of your blindness, your situation is just begin to see. To see things as they should be and not as they are. To see the positive, and not the negative. Do not look at the mud, but look beyond the mud in your life. By faith, you begin to see your family made whole. By faith, you begin to see you finances turned around. By faith, you see the darkness in your soul blown away by the power of the Holy Ghost. By faith, you see your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ walking with you holding your hand though the storm. By faith, you see yourself coming up the other end clothed with His glory. Clothed with His light. Filled with His joy. By faith you see the whores of hell running from you. Running out of your house, getting out of your children and getting out of your husband or wife which ever it may be. Getting out of your life. He said, "I also come to do something else. "Set at liberty them that are bruised. To set apart, give freedom, pardon, forgiveness to those how have been smitten through life. Those that have been broken by divorce, drugs, alcohol, anger, violence. Those that have been broken thoroughly because of the curses of this earth." He said, "I have come to give liberty, to give freedom, to give deliverance to them." The amplified Bible says it this way, "I come to send forth deliverance to those who are opposed. Those who are down trodden. Those that are crushed and those that are broken down by calamity." Jesus has come to you that have been down trodden and hurt. Jesus has come to pick you up. I am not telling you all your problems are going away, but what I am saying is the joy and peace and the anointing, and the victory can begin to shine fresh and anew inside of you; so that you can stand up successfully against the strategies and deceit of the devil. You can live and overcome in life. I am here today telling you, Jesus will give you joy, peace, and He has already given you the faith. He will give you the glory, He will give you the anointing to raise up and over those problems. So today, make a decision to look up. To see your victory. To praise God and let Him show you your victory. For the blessing of Abraham is yours and mine. And as you read this devotion, if you have not made Jesus the Lord of your life, please do it right now. Say, "Jesus come into my heart. Forgive me of my sins. I now accept you as my personal Savior." When you do this, He will, at the very moment you speak it, become your Father. You will become His child. So take a step of faith and join the family of God. Also, if you need prayer or maybe you did make a decision to ask Jesus into your heart. Please e-mail me back and let me know. I will continue to pray for you and with you. Joyfully, In The Master's
