God takes a Pumpkin from the field and turns
it into the most wonderful pumpkin pie that you have ever tasted.
God picks us from the patch, brings us in, and washes all the dirt off of
us.

Then He cuts off the top and scoops out all
the yucky stuff, which are seeds of doubt, hate, unforgiveness, bitterness,
lustfulness and greed.
Then He adds a little vanilla from the orchid, and just the right amount of
sugar to make us sweet, and a little salt to give us flavor.
And a dash of ginger so we will smell the sweet aroma of life. By adding
this special spice it will invigorate us to do His work, and live life with
enthusiasm.

He then adds cloves from the Evergreen tree. This will help us to always be
optimistic, and know that if we are His children we will have everlasting
life, because the Evergreen tree always stays green, no matter how hot are
cold it gets. No matter how bad the storm is, it stands tall and green.

Because God did not want us to be dull and live a hum-drum life, He added a
little All Spice, which is made up from a berry, and taste like several
spices. So this way we will be willing to experience new and exciting
things, and enjoy all the spices of life.
Then He added some cinnamon, that comes from the dried
inner bark of several trees or shrubs of the laurel family. You see, this
will give us just enough roughness to handle the tough times with a sure and
strong attitude.

And of course He had to add a little flour, because the flour is what He
needed to grind and sift us to get out all of our impurities.

Then He added just enough undiluted evaporated milk, which is thickened by
evaporation to half its weight, and then sterilized because He knew He
needed to remove all of the heaviness and waste out of our lives that would
keep us from living a abundant life.

And of course He added a couple of eggs. One of the eggs would remind us not
to put all our eggs in one basket, because if we did we soon would fail
completely. The second egg would show us that God is egging us on, to
accomplish our life's goals and be all that He intends us to be.

God then decided He needed to add just a little water to dilute us, so we
would not be so prideful and think we know all the answers. That way we
would still seek Him for advice and direction.

After He adds all the ingredients He puts us in the fire and bakes us on
high to refine and purify us, just as the Silversmith does with silver.

And then He opens the doors to our heart to check
to see if we are done; and if He can see His image in us, He takes us out of
the oven and smiles. For God knows His recipe for life always comes out just
right. For you see, God does not make mistakes.

And we become one of the most wonderful Pumpkin Pies in God's Book Of
Recipes, for you see we have been willing to be made into a perfection of
God's Love.
