9. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified.
10. But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.
11. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord.
An Old Fashion Christmas
A welcome mat, an open door
An empty chair in view,
These are the special welcome signs
Which we extend to you.
A kettle on the kitchen stove,
A tin filled with Christmas treats,
A rocking chair by the old fireplace
Is where we will be.
A heart that's filled with warmth and love,
A heart that love to share,
A heart that lives the old times ways,
Is waiting for you there.
A Bible on the table,
It's pages a little worn.
But we can still read the story,
About the special baby born.
So if you have the time,
Do come to visit for awhile.
And we will sit and talk,
And reminisce in an Old-fashioned style.
