During this Christmas Season I am going to let others use the Coffee With Pat Site from time to time to promote their ministry. 

I pray that you enjoy their devotions. At the end of each devotion there will be a link for you to go that will let you know how to become a member of  the individuals that I am spot-lighting their ministry.

I feel that we each should work together to share the gospel. The more people sharing the gospel, the more lost souls we can get saved for the glory of God.

Good Morning Everyone,

I love the writings of Max Lucado.  When you read
his stories, the wording is so colorful and descriptive
you feel like you are right there real time, experiencing the sounds, the smells, the movements of what is happening in the scene.  It is vivid.

AS I read this story this morning, a remarkable thought came to me about seeking the Savior.

During this season, how important it is to reflect on this.

Many say they are seeking the Savior.  Many say they
know Him.  Many talk about Him, argue about his book, and consider themselves authorities on Him.
Many attend church every week, yet when they leave it, they pick up their own desires again, and are far from God's heart and desires for them.  They are in essence playing church rather being sold out to God.

Yet, I wonder, if He walked in our homes today,
would we know Him?  Would we be happy to be under His scrutiny?  Would He see things in our home we would feel convicted of?  Would He look into our eyes and know we had habits that we should not have?  Would He see how we waste our money, our time, our resources? Would He see how we treat our family and friends? Would He look into our heart and see things we had been trying to hide from Him?  Parts of us we withheld because we want to do what we want to do?

How many really are pursuing Christ?

If you are pursuing Him, and caught up to Him, would you really be happy with what He saw in you?

How many really from the depths of their heart and spirit know their heart is turned towards Christ?  He really does know who you are, what you have been up to, what you have done or not done, nothing is hidden to Him.

In the final analysis, no game will stand the test of time. No pretense, no hidden agendas, no unconfessed sin will serve you well.

With God.. only the truth will prevail.

All the works of this life will be burned up as chaff in the wind, and only what is done for Christ will last.

What are you pursuing today?  Dare you look within your soul and find yourself wanting, falling short of what you should be, and far from where you should be going?

At the end of my days, even though I surely have made
many mistakes and fallen short in the past, in these times of my life, I want to be sifted and found faithful.  I cannot think of anything more desirous or important to me.

The older you get, the more you learn about what is
"really" important.

Seek Him while He may be found.  For your own soul's sake.

Only one life, will soon be past
Only what is done for Christ will last.

Seeking the Savior
by Max Lucado

Simeon said, “Can I stay alive until I see him?” The Magi said, “Saddle up the camels. We aren’t stopping until we find him.”

The shepherds said, “Let’s go…. Let’s see.”

They wanted the Savior. They wanted to see Jesus.

They were earnest in their search. One translation renders Hebrews 11:6: “God … rewards those who earnestly seek him” (NIV, italics mine).

Another reads: “God rewards those who search for him” (PHILLIPS, italics mine).

And another: “God … rewards those who sincerely look for him” (TLB, italics mine).

I like the King James translation: “He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him” (italics mine).

Diligently—what a great word. Be diligent in your search. Be hungry in your quest, relentless in your pilgrimage. Let this book be but one of dozens you read about Jesus and this hour be but one of hundreds in which you seek him. Step away from the puny pursuits of possessions and positions, and seek your king.

Don’t be satisfied with angels. Don’t be content with stars in the sky. Seek him out as the shepherds did. Long for him as Simeon did. Worship him as the wise men did. Do as John and Andrew did: ask for his address. Do as Matthew: invite Jesus into your house. Imitate Zacchaeus. Risk whatever it takes to see Christ.

God rewards those who seek him. Not those who seek doctrine or religion or systems or creeds. Many settle for these lesser passions, but the reward goes to those who settle for nothing less than Jesus himself. And what is the reward? What awaits those who seek Jesus? Nothing short of the heart of Jesus. “And as the Spirit of the Lord works within us, we become more and more like him” (2 Cor. 3:18 TLB).

Can you think of a greater gift than to be like Jesus? Christ felt no guilt; God wants to banish yours. Jesus had no bad habits; God wants to remove yours. Jesus had no fear of death; God wants you to be fearless. Jesus had kindness for the diseased and mercy for the rebellious and courage for the challenges. God wants you to have the same.

He loves you just the way you are, but he refuses to leave you that way. He wants you to be just like Jesus.
