"Guard Who You Associate With"

Holiness requires that we guard our associations. We must be careful not only to shun unrighteousness and worldliness ourselves, but not to support or participate with others who promote it.

2 Chronicles 19:2

2.  Jehu the seer, the son of Hanani, went out to meet him and said to the king, "Should you help the wicked and love those who hate the LORD ? Because of this, the wrath of the LORD is upon you.

Be careful not to promote the ungodly or to support those whose ways contradict the scriptures and thus displease the Lord.

Yes, we must love the sinner, but not the sin.  We must not join in with the ways of the world and sin. We must separate ourselves from sin.

Example: If you have someone who is constantly gossiping, and you are listening to it, then soon you will also be caught up in the same offense.

You must let them see Jesus in you, and see that you are not going to take part in the sin of gossip.  You must separate yourself from the gossiper and just pray and love them and let God do His work in them.

You cannot change them, but God can.

2 Chronicles 28:23

23.  He offered sacrifices to the gods of Damascus, who had defeated him; for he thought, "Since the gods of the kings of Aram have helped them, I will sacrifice to them so they will help me." But they were his downfall and the downfall of all Israel.

Avoid the evil ethic of expediency. Do not employ procedures or practices you suspect of being unethical or ungodly, even if they promise success
