"Seek God and Reject Bad Counsil"
Coffee With Pat "Those who seek God daily, are the ones who hear and recognize the voice of God." Pastor Pat Aman (Isaiah 8:19-20) 19. "When men tell you to consult mediums and spiritists, who whisper and mutter, should not a people inquire of their God? Why consult the dead on behalf of the living? 20. To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, they have no light of dawn." (Isaiah 30:1- 1 "Woe to the obstinate children," declares the LORD, "to those who carry out plans that are not mine, forming an alliance, but not by my Spirit, heaping sin upon sin; 2 who go down to Egypt without consulting me; who look for help to Pharaoh's protection, to Egypt's shade for refuge." God's people have often gotten in trouble by employing unholy means toward holy ends and thinking about holy things in an unholy way. The ends do not justify the means. Unholy methodology lead to unholy alliances that can become our undoing. We need to recognize and reject spiritual counsel from anyone who does not speak according to the Word of God. We must avoid any form of the occult or spiritism We also need to be wary of plans or relationships God has not ordained and , therefore, will not bless. Christians must seek the Lord for wisdom in making plans and entering covenantal relationship. (Isaiah 31:1-3) 1. Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help, who rely on horses, who trust in the multitude of their chariots and in the great strength of their horsemen, but do not look to the Holy One of Israel, or seek help from the LORD. 2. Yet he too is wise and can bring disaster; he does not take back his words. He will rise up against the house of the wicked, against those who help evildoers. 3. But the Egyptians are men and not God; their horses are flesh and not spirit. When the LORD stretches out his hand, he who helps will stumble, he who is helped will fall; both will perish together. We need to only Employ God's methods to do God's Work.
