Devotion 23
(Acts 19: 11-12) say, "Now God
worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul, so that even handkerchiefs
or aprons were brought from his body to the sick, and the diseases left
them and the evil spirits went out of them."
(John 14:12-14)I tell you the
truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will
do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I
will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to
the Father. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it."
I want to thank
everyone who is praying for my husband Joe. He is in Betsy Johnson Hospital
in Dunn, North Carolina.

(2 Corinthians 5: 17)
says, " Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things
are passed away; behold all things are become new."
When you except Jesus
as your personal Savior you come as you are, a sinful creature. You do not
have to be good or stop all the bad things you do before you come to
Christ. You just come as you are, then Christ takes hold of you and begins
a new work in you. It is a daily sanctification. You grow daily in the
goodness and mercy of God.
(Romans 3:23) says, "
For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God."
That means we all have
sinned. We are not perfect.
(Romans 6:23) says,
"The wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through
Jesus Christ our Lord."
You may ask me now,
how do I become a new creature in Christ? Well, it is very easy. Salvation
is a gift from God. If I were to give you a gift at this very moment, you
would take it from me and open it. That is all you have to do to receive
the salvation of Christ.
(Romans 10:9-11) says,
That if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe
in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you shall be saved. For
with the heart man believes into righteousness; and with the mouth
confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture says, Whosoever calls
and believes on him shall not be ashamed."
See, it is very easy.
Just open you heart and then open your mouth and ask Jesus to forgive you of
your sins. Then ask Him to come in to your heart and save your soul from
hell. The very second you do this, Jesus will answer you. And at that very
moment all the things that you have done in the passed is wiped away. God
remembers them no more. All the sin in your life is gone. God wipes the
book clean. That very moment He will make you a new creature with a new
feature, and a new future.
So right now, take the
time to ask Jesus to come into your heart, and see the changes that begin to
happen.
Please read your Bible
every day and pray. That will help keep you strong and build up your faith.
I want you to also find a home church, if you do not attend one. And if you
are attending, please let your Pastor know about your decision of excepting
Christ into your life.
