Devotion 29
![]() Psalm 119:11
11
I have hidden your word in my heart
that I might not sin against you.
It seems I have flown more
lately than I had in a few years, and I am getting ready to fly again
to help my daughter whose Birthday is today April 29th, move to
California. I really do not like to fly, but it is the fastest way to
get to where you need to be if you are in a hurry or going a long
distance.
In the Airport in Atlanta
Georgia, there is a People Mover. There is no conductor, no engineer,
no trainperson of any kind. And yet, the people mover, moves from
terminal to terminal quickly and efficiently. And it always keeps you
informed. A voice announces each stop, reminds passengers of safety
rules, and even says statements like "There is someone standing in
front of the door. The train cannot move until the doorway is clear."
I know that a computer runs the
train, but I call it a train with a conscience. Because it's been
given a wealth of information, and the right information, too, to
address specific situations, like people standing in front of the
door.
Have you given your own
conscience the right information with which to work? Is it able to
respond to tough problems when they occur? Let the Bible be your
guide. It has a wealth of right information to keep you moving on the
right track.
