I was asked what is a denom? I want to let you know that I a copying some of these notes directly from my Bible. Why? Because I know they can sometimes explain it better than I can. I also will be giving my opinion and will try to answer your questions to the best of my ability with The Holy Spirits guidance. 

There are a lot of people who read these devotions. Some are new in the Lord. They are still drinking milk, and not ready for steak. I will answer this question tonight, but deep questions from now on, will go directly to the person whom ask the question.

I want to say also, I hope that you are in a church that teaches the Bible, and does not make the Bible line up with their personal teachings. In other words, some of the new Churches teach and preach demons all the time. They are always having deliverances services. A lot do not even know the meaning to a deliverance service. They have gone into witchcraft and do not even know it.They are leading their people wrong. 

Don't get me wrong, I was on a deliverance team for a long time. And my Pastor Bro. King White, has call me in a lot of times when someone needed deliverance. He even sent me to their homes to anoint with oil and pray demons from the homes. But it is nothing to brag about. You better have yourself and your family covered and guarded with the blood of Jesus. You also better make sure your life is grounded in the Word and Prayer. You better not be playing around. For when the demons leave, they do look for somewhere to go.Do not play with the devil, he will take you just as far as you want to go. People should not go out looking for demons or make up demons where they do not exit. A believer should be prepared to confront demons when the need arises, but he or she should not seek this kind of encounter.^^^ 

I John 1: 5-7 5. This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. 6. If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. 7. But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.

^^^ I added the verse above because I want you to know, that if you are saved, sanctified (a daily process) ,and filled with the Holy Ghost, there is no way a you can have a demon. There cannot be a demon where the Spirit Of God is. When you ask God to come into your life you were set free by the blood of Jesus. But if you are not living right and living in darkness, straddling the fence watch out, you are opening yourself up to the demons of hell. 

The Christian believer has unlimited authority over demons in the name of Jesus, but that authority is nothing compared to the glory and authority we will know when we get to Heaven. ^^^ 

Question: What is a demon? 

(Mark 5:2-13)

2. And when He had come out of the boat, immediately there met Him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit, 

3. who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no one could bind him, not even with chains,

4. because he had often been bound with shackles and chains. And the chains had been pulled apart by him, and the shackles broken in pieces; neither could anyone tame him.

5. And always, night and day, he was in the mountains and in the tombs, crying out and cutting himself with stones. 

6. When he saw Jesus from afar, he ran and worshiped Him. 

7. And he cried out with a loud voice and said, “What have I to do with You, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I implore You by God that You do not torment me.” 

8. For He said to him, “Come out of the man, unclean spirit!”

9. Then He asked him, “What is your name?” And he answered, saying, “My name is Legion;( A Legion is about 6000) for we are many.” 

10. Also he begged Him earnestly that He would not send them out of the country. 

11. Now a large herd of swine was feeding there near the mountains. 

12. So all the demons begged Him, saying, “Send us to the swine, that we may enter them.” 

13. And at once Jesus gave them permission. Then the unclean spirits went out and entered the swine (there were about two thousand); and the herd ran violently down the steep place into the sea, and drowned in the sea. ** 

A demon is a fallen angel. ^^^(NOT A GHOST THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A GHOST)^^^ When satan, who was the very highest angel, rebelled against God, he took a large number of the angels with him in rebellion.** 

Isaiah 14: 12-15 12. “ 12. How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, You who weakened the nations! 

13. For you have said in your heart: ‘ I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation On the farthest sides of the north; 

14. I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.’ 

15. Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol, To the lowest depths of the Pit.

** When their rebellion failed, they were cast out of heaven. Those angels are now demons. 

As angels can ascend the heights of spirituality, demons reach the depths of hatred, bitterness, and perversion. Demons torment people, possess them, and lead them from God and His truth. Although lust, homosexuality, drunkenness, gluttony, and witchcraft are expressions of sinful flesh, these are among practices that can also be expressions of demonic activity in the lives of people. Grossly perverted sexual practices, such as sadomasochism and pedophilia, have demonic roots. In a similar manner, schizophrenia can be a mental disease, but it can also be caused by demon possession. Just as the angels have archangels and higher powers, the demons have what are called, "principalities and powers" It is possible that various demon princes are in charge of specific cities, or regions in the world. There is conflict in the invisible world between God's loyal messengers, and the demonic host. Somehow in God's wonderful order, He uses the prayers of His people to restrain demonic activity and to direct the action of angelic powers to control demons. Remember when Jesus sent His apostles out on their mission, He said He was giving them authority over all the power of the enemy.

The disciples said, "Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your Name," Jesus replied, "Do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in Heaven." (Luke 10: 17, 20) **

^^^ Just live a life where you no that Jesus in your Lord and Savior. Stay in the Word of God. Pray Daily. Keep your Armour on and you will not have to worry about demons, because you will be to busy Praising God and thanking Him for all your blessings.^^^ 

Ephesians 6:10-18

10. Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 

11. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 

12. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 

13. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 

14. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 

15. and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 

16. above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 

17. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 

18. praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—
