"The Cross And The Crown"
The Cross Jesus Carried, Will That Cross Be In Vain? The Crown of Thorns that Encircled His Head, Will His Heart Bleed Once Again? What Crown Will You Lay At Jesus Feet? Another Crown Of Thorns, Or A shining Crown Of Jewels (Souls), For The Masters To See? Have You Been Working For The Lord? Have You Lead A Lost Soul To Christ ? What Is Your Answer, My Dear Friend? -- Pastor Pat Aman Matthew 10: 38 38. And he who does not take his cross and follow Me is not worthy of Me. 2 Timothy 4:8 8. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing. What a honor it will be, when Jesus we see. When He places that crown upon our heads, then we will remove it and lay it at His Feet. --Rev. Pat Aman Holy Week Written By: Phoebe Smith Bachelder "And having taken bread, He broke it," (Weary men within a dimly lighted room); "He blessed it saying, 'This is My Body, eat,' " (Three crosses faintly outlined in the night); 'This cup contains a hallowed drink, my blood," (Lilies at dawn, before the enmpty tomb); "Preserve they soul to everlasting life," (A dark church, altar candles' flickering light); "Arise, let us go hence." Far out upon a lonely hill tonight, Against dark oaks, a wild plum blossoms white. My Master was so very poor and with the poor He broke the bread; So very rich My Master was that multitudes By Him were fed. My Master was so very poor They nailed Him naked to a cross; So very rich my Master was He gave His all And knew no loss. Joyfully, In The Master's
