"Humble Yourselves"
Coffee With Pat How many times have you heard or read the verse below? How many times have you taken this verse seriously? Ministers preach on it, and people talk about this verse every time something happens in our nation. It is time that we as Christians realize and repean of not doing what it says we should do. Humble ourselves and repent. It is so easy to do, but we just read the verse and agree with what it says but never do what it says we should do. Today, make a difference in your life and the life of our nation. Just do not read what it says, but do what it says to do. II Chronicles 7:14, "If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land." Developing Humility is just another step to holiness. The humble person sees himself in the light of his relationship with Almighty God. A truly humble individual regards others more highly than himself because this self assessment puts others in a better perspective. Also, the humble person is grateful for what he has received from the Lord and is not lifted up in pride as a result of success or prosperity. Understand that God fills the universe. Know that nothing we build can contain Him. The best we can do is reflect His glory. Identify with the sins of your nation, confessing them as your own. Repent and humble yourself. Seek God's face to restore His blessing, and believe with all your heart that He will. Beware the test of prosperity. Guard against pride when you have experienced success. Be certain, pride will lead to your downfall. Repent if pride is found in you. Blessings, Prayers and Love,
