Little Boy's Explanation of God

THIS IS FABULOUS!!!
It was written by an 8-year-old named Danny Dutton, who lives in Chula Vista , CA .. He wrote it for his third grade homework assignment, to 'explain God.' I wonder if any of us could have done as well?
[ .... and he had such an assignment, in California , and someone published it, I guess miracles do happen ! ... ]

EXPLANATION OF GOD

Luke 20: 18 - 20

¹⁸And it came to pass, as he was alone praying, his disciples were with him: and he asked them, saying, Whom say the people that I am?

¹⁹They answering said, John the Baptist; but some say, Elias; and others say, that one of the old prophets is risen again.

²⁰He said unto them, But whom say ye that I am? Peter answering said, The Christ of God.

Matthew 16: 13 - 18

13 Now when Jesus came into the district of Caesarea Philippi, He was asking His disciples, “Who do people say that the Son of Man is?”

14 And they said, “Some say John the Baptist; and others, Elijah; but still others, Jeremiah, or one of the prophets.”

15 He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”

16 Simon Peter answered, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

17 And Jesus said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Barjona, because flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.

18 “I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades will not overpower it.

'One of God's main jobs is making people. He makes them to replace the ones that die, so there will be enough people to take care of things on earth. He doesn't make grownups, just babies. I think because they are smaller and easier to make. That way he doesn't have to take up his valuable time teaching them to talk and walk. He can just leave that to mothers and fathers.'

'God's second most important job is listening to prayers. An awful lot of this goes on, since some people, like preachers and things, pray at times beside bedtime. God doesn't have time to listen to the radio or TV because of this. Because he hears everything, there must be a terrible lot of noise in his ears, unless he has thought of a way to turn it off.'

'God sees everything and hears everything and is everywhere which keeps Him pretty busy. So you shouldn't go wasting his time by going over your mom and dad's head asking for something they said you couldn't have.'

'Atheists are people who don't believe in God. I don't think there are any in Chula Vista . At least there aren't any who come to our church.'

'Jesus is God's Son. He used to do all the hard work, like walking on water and performing miracles and trying to teach the people who didn't want to learn about God. They finally got tired of him preaching to them and they crucified him But he was good and kind, like his father, and he told his father that they didn't know what they were doing and to forgive them and God said O.K.'

'His dad (God) appreciated everything that he had done and all his hard work on earth so he told him he didn't have to go out on the road anymore. He could stay in heaven. So he did. And now he helps his dad out by listening to prayers and seeing things which are important for God to take care of and which ones he can take care of himself without having to bother God. Like a secretary, only more important..'

'You can pray anytime you want and they are sure to help you because they got it worked out so one of them is on duty all the time.'

'You should always go to church on Sunday because it makes God happy, and if there's anybody you want to make happy, it's God!

Don't skip church to do something you think will be more fun like going to the beach. This is wrong. And besides the sun doesn't come out at the beach until noon anyway.'

'If you don't believe in God, besides being an atheist, you will be very lonely, because your parents can't go everywhere with you, like to camp, but God can. It is good to know He's around you when you're scared, in the dark or when you can't swim and you get thrown into real deep water by big kids.'

'But...you shouldn't just always think of what God can do for you. I figure God put me here and he can take me back anytime he pleases.

And...that's why I believe in God.'

In today's world many are deceived. They are overcome with what the world has to say and the beliefs of the world. They even let the world take their beliefs away.

Mark 13:22, says, "For false christ's and false prophets will rise and show signs and wonders, to deceive, and even the elect shall be deceived."

This is why we should always look to Christ. We should stay in His word, and daily pray. Even Christians have been deceived. Christians who were taught the word of God, and brought up in the ways of God. People who know Jesus Christ as their Savior have been deceived.

We have to remember that sin is sin. There is no excuse for for sin and there never will be. I John 5:18 says, We know that whoever is born of God does not sin, but he who has been born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him."

There are some people who say that man wrote the Bible. I cannot understand how a person can believe one part of the Bible and not the entire Bible. In Galatians 1: 11 - 12, Paul and apostle of Jesus Christ wrote, "But I make know to you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man. For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it , but it came thought the revelation of Jesus Christ."

The Bible is the inspired Word of God. Given to man through the Holy Spirit. We need to believe in God's word. We need to stand on God's Word. Revelations 22:18 says, "For I testify to everyone who hears, the words of the prophecy of this book; if anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book. And if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book." John 1: 1-3, 14 says, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him and without Him nothing was made that was made." '14' - And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth." Each of us knew to remember James 5:19-20; "Brethren, if anyone among you wanders from the truth, and someone turns him back., let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death, and cover a multitude of sin."

I do not know about you, but I will not let my family, friends or anyone else spend eternity in hell. As Christians it is time for us to stand up and stop making excuses. I will not let satan continue to lie and add to his list of hell bound people. I know that everyone I come in contact with, I will tell of the goodness, grace and salvation of Jesus Christ my Lord. For one day, I will stand before God and be held accountable for each soul that passed my way, and I let the die in sin.

Today, I want each of you to make the decision to stand for Christ. And you will see the ways you will be blessed. For God wants His children to receive the inheritance that belongs to them.
